Mobility and flexibility are often used as if they mean the same thing, but they describe different qualities.
Flexibility Is Only Part Of The Picture
Flexibility is generally about how far muscles and other tissues can lengthen. Mobility also involves joint movement, strength and control.
Why This Matters
Someone can be very flexible but still lack good control through a movement. For everyday function, useful mobility is often more important than simply being able to stretch further.
