The body usually tolerates training best when the workload rises gradually. After a break, trying to return immediately to your previous volume can create unnecessary soreness and stiffness.
Build Back In Stages
Start with less volume and intensity than you think you can manage. Give the body time to adapt before adding more sessions, weight or distance.
Recovery Is Part Of Training
Sleep, hydration, mobility, rest days and appropriate soft tissue treatment can support recovery while your body gets used to training again.
